Knee.

I joked about my knee injury today - that I'd need another one if I became insufferable with confidence. I am feeling very happy with dancing. Dancing Monday afternoon, Wednesday evening, Friday morning and Friday evening is good for me. The feldenkrais helps a lot too. Pilates is okay too. The monday morning exercise class also okay. It's a good schedule with just enough activity for me. All pleasurable activity. Which is our philosophy.

I had a few moments of absolute gratitude for the knee injury today. It helps that both my knees are utterly perfect now - totally pain free and strong and flexible. The suffering was worth it to teach me these strange lessons of the knee. I hope I don't have to do that again for a while, but I am grateful even for the time in a brace and all the awful pain. It really has opened my heart to understand a very precise kind of suffering of others and I've come to understand something in my body too about knees and how to care for them. Perhaps I am a better teacher now I do hope so.
